Release Regarding: New Stream WIXZ1360Online

Lakewood Radio Station WIXY1260Online is launching a companion stream on its sister station, WIXZ1360Online (via wixz1360online.com). WIXY1260Online will focus on all of the great music many remember from the golden era of our parent, WIXY 1260 AM, specifically the early 1950's through the mid 1970's (with some later music mixed in if requested during our live shows).
While WIXY's McKeesport, PA, sister WIXZ reflected the
WIXY format and sound in its early years (WIXZ existed in a number of formats
from when it ran from 1969 to 1998), WIXZ1360Online will focus on mainstream
post-WIXY music (from the mid 1970's through today). WIXZ will benefit from the ability to utilize
many of the WIXY jingles (as its parent did) since many of them sound the same
phonetically, however, there will be many WIXZ specific jingles introduced as
well.
WIXY1260Online is hopeful that the large variety of music, a more
listener driven approach, a lower ‘cost to enjoyment’[1]
ratio than competitor formats and many 'convenient' and progressive ways to
listen across the globe will provide great enjoyment for listeners. Additionally, a variety of great music that
intentionally leaves room for those who prefer the earlier music to the newer
and vice-versa will benefit audiences across multiple generations. WIXY1260Online believes, “The Future of
Radio is Now!”

in the Cleveland, Ohio, radio market, and has never been forgotten. Now, two
WIXY fans from Cleveland have given WIXY 1260 new life...on the Internet (along

has been active since October, 2011, and offers the same high-energy music and
