Remembering the Sights & Sounds of Euclid Beach Park - Live Appearance 9/25/16

Join WIXY1260Online and Euclid Beach Park Now on Sunday, September 25th from 1-5 PM as we celebrate the 12th Annual "Remembering the Sights & Sounds of Euclid Beach Park" at the old site of the park, located at 16301 Lakeshore Boulevard in Cleveland.

Take a guided walking tour featuring Park Exhibits and "Laughing Sal", check out the classic cars, grab some memorabilia and food from vendors, ride in the Rocket Ship Car and listen to hits of the WIXY golden era all while reliving great memories of Euclid Beach Park!

Admission and Parking are Free with additional parking and shuttle service by Lolly the Trolley at the Collinwood Recreation Center and the Wildwood Marina.

Newsletter 9/9/16: New SuperMan, Exciting Events & More!

Greetings WIXY Listeners!
 
Summer is winding down and we hope everyone has had a great Summer.  We had a fantastic weekend over the Labor Day holiday with our friends at St. Elias Church in Brooklyn, Ohio, for their Annual Labor Day Weekend Festival.  Event photos and a video of WIXY's return to the Ferris Wheel (think WIXY DJ Mike Kelly's record breaking ride at Cedar Point) are now up and can be accessed from our Gallery Page.  Fall is fast approaching and so are even more great events...

NEW SUPERMAN
 
B.A. Bartell joins the WIXY1260Online crew and will be on the air Wednesdays from 3-7 PM, his first show airs Wednesday, September 14th.
 
Bio: B.A. Bartell, born and raised in N.E. Ohio, has been an avid fan of rock & roll for over 45 years. B.A., after graduating from Cleveland State University, enjoyed a memorable 25 year career working for Cuyahoga County government. He also moonlighted as a mobile disc jockey during the 1990’s. B.A. comes to us as a 2015 graduate of the American Broadcasting School, and previously hosted his own successful Internet Radio show. B.A. resides in Fairview Park with his lovely bride of 30 years."
 
 
OTHER CHANGES & UPDATES
  • Our new website is now live, designed by yours truly, I hope you enjoy the new website - check it out regularly to keep up on all things WIXY at www.wixy1260online.com
  • New Jingles and updated programming - we have updated the WIXYTronic with a new WIXY jingle package and have shuffled things around a bit to keep things fresh and fun. 
  • Our sister station, WIXZ1360Online's new website is also now live! Check it out and help us spread the word of our little sister as we keep on adding new music and grow the station for people like you who are either sick of paying for a music subscription (satellite or apps like Pandora & YouTube music) or hearing too many commercials on FM radio, but want a great variety of music.  WIXZ1360Online plays the best variety of the 80's, 90's and Beyond!
