Happy Spring (?) Dear WIXY Family,
As we prepare for the Spring season ahead and look forward to being outdoors more often, when Mother Nature doesn't throw us a curve-ball snow storm that is, we want to reach out to update you on the state of the station and our progress migrating to new streaming and licensing services.
As many of you may recall from earlier e-mails, social media posts, and the ongoing updates to our website, we have made the transition to officially operating as a non-profit webcaster, thanks to the help of our friends at Euclid Beach Park Now. What does this mean? It means we are able to continue to provide you with a FREE listening option that is dedicated to preserving the memory of the historic WIXY 1260 AM. It also means lowered operating costs for the station to allow us to be viable well into the future by avoiding outlandish music royalty licensing fees that commercial webcasters must pay. Yes, we are still legal, just at the non-commerical rates we now enjoy. It also means we are able to pull back on most of the commercials you've been hearing over the past few months - allowing us to re-commit to at least ~50 minutes of music every hour! WIXY1260Online has WAY MORE MUSIC than ANY other free platform.
Now that we're officially transitioned to our newer, more reliable streaming provider, you can safely bookmark the listening links on our Listen Page at WIXY1260Online.com without worry of further interruption (or at least that's the plan!). More exciting, our free mobile apps are now undergoing updates and will be operational VERY soon. Also, our Alexa skill and other listening options seen on our Listen Page will become live again in the coming days and weeks.

WHAT A WILD RIDE!
The 2022 IX Piston Powered Auto-Rama was an outright blast and the busiest we've ever observed in our 6 years of doing this event. A shout out to our special guests who camped out with us at our "WIXY In The Wild" Campground this year: Euclid Beach Park Now | JakeWear | The Outsiders | Larry Morrow | and others.
