WIXY1260Online Release Regarding: New Stream WIXZ1360Online LAKEWOOD, Ohio, August 8, 2014 Lakewood Radio Station WIXY1260Online is launching a companion stream on its sister station, WIXZ1360Online (via wixz1360online.com).   WIXY1260Online will focus on all of the great music many remember from the golden era of our parent, WIXY 1260 AM, specifically the early 1950's through the mid 1970's (with some later music mixed in if requested during our live shows). While WIXY's McKeesport, PA, sister WIXZ reflected the WIXY format and sound in its early years (WIXZ existed in a number of formats from when it ran from 1969 to 1998), WIXZ1360Online will focus on mainstream post-WIXY music (from the mid 1970's through today).   WIXZ will benefit from the ability to utilize many of the WIXY jingles (as its parent did) since many of them sound the same phonetically, however, there will be many WIXZ specific jingles introduced as well. WIXY1260Online Release Regarding Voluntary Team Members LAKEWOOD, Ohio, May 5, 2014 WIXY1260Online has made many efforts over its first two plus years in existence to both increase listenership and brand awareness.   Growing from a small hobby out of the owner’s home to an internet hit with an average listenership of 6000+ hours per month (and steadily increasing) and a geographical footprint that spans the globe.   Although our owner, Gary Schmitz, is not a radio veteran by trade, he has a strong operational and technical knowledge base founded in his 40 plus years of experience as the President of BGE Technologies. To supplement his strong technological background and his love of WIXY 1260, our owner has enlisted the help of many volunteers who all bring the specific talents needed in order to successfully operate a next generation radio station that properly honors its roots.   Our volunteers, all experts in their respective fields, range in age from 1...
