Nominated for
Leukemia & Lymphoma Man of the Year
Starting 10
week fundraising campaign
Streetsboro, OH: Gary Wenner has been nominated for the Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society (LLS) 2018 Northern Ohio “Man of the Year”. The Man & Woman of the
Year is a philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a
group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United
States. Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor
of two local children who are blood cancer survivors. The man and woman who
have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the
prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community. The man
and woman who have raised the most across the entire U.S. will be recognized as
the national Man & Woman of the year.
“I’m honored to be nominated” said Gary Wenner. “I lost my wife of
15 years to cancer, and I hope my story will inspire people to donate to my
fundraising team”. “Cancer has affected so many us, including children. Through
LLS, I’ve met 2 such children, and they have motivated me to embark on this
campaign”.
Gary is dedicating his campaign to his wife, Kathleen Wenner, who
lost her courageous 13 month battle with breast cancer in 2014. It’s also
dedicated to the LLS Boy & Girl of the Year, Stanley & Molly. You can
