We hope you've recovered from Thanksgiving and are ready for all those yummy holiday treats! We're still managing to squeeze through the doors at the WIXY Studios to bring you the greatest variety of music you love (along with a light mix of Christmas music).
LOOKING TO 2020 - The Station with a Vision!
At WIXY1260Online, we continue to invest in station-wide improvements. We love 'old' music, but we also love making sure you can enjoy it in more ways, and more often, than old radio or over-priced listening services. As we continue to make upgrades to our technology system-wide, there have been some bumps. Our streaming provider recently performed upgrades which effected our on-air time. Additionally, we upgraded our internet data capacity which resulted in some unexpected downtime - fortunately this seems to all be resolved and we continue to maintain backup systems to ensure limited interruption.
What else can you expect from the station where "The Future of Radio is Now"? Our recently modernized website will soon be accompanied by new mobile apps (still free!) that promise to greatly improve user experience, allowing for easier song requests and access to other station info. (Don't worry, the old apps won't stop working, but we'll let you know when the new ones are ready so you can upgrade if you like). Additionally, we continue to value our listeners' feedback. While we're flattered by all of the positive feedback, we know there is always room to improve. Our Management, DJs, and Staff have their marching orders going into 2020 and will be working collectively to improve the quality, variety and FUN that make WIXY 1260 a fan-favorite.
